Started work on Monday at American Players' Theatre. It is awesome to be back. Got a huge hug from Eliot as well from SDH, and Bill. It really did feel like coming home. Said hi to all the shop guys caught up with Terry and Sam, poked fun at Nate, and introduced myself to Emily our new shop forman. I alread like her because most of this week we have been listening to her music and while there is some country in it there is also Jack Johnson, Cake and Beck! While Cake and Beck were sort of played before I think Jack would have been vetoed.
I am going to try and actually write on my blog every day so to catch up with the week.
One cool thing about Monday that had nothing to do with my returning was the fact the Tracy and Marcus got married. I was really happy to actually be able to watch the ceremony. It was a beautiful day, and I got to see Colleen and Jim's baby. Yes he is adorable!
Tuesday was interesting too because about an hour or two before we left a huge storm came in, it poured then poured some more, trees were sideways then came hail then it stopped and was nice for the rest of the day. Go figure!
Wednesday, I learned to play sheepshead. I was observing the game while people played, Terry and Nate's girlfriend Susan were awesome. They keepy showing me there cards and one time Susan grabbed Nate's cards to show me. The next time everyone gets together to play I hope to actually play.
Thursday I went back to Milwaukee, I love returning to a city you have not been to in a while and yes I know it has only been three days but still Milwaukee has a welcoming feeling to it when you come in on the highway. It was great to see everyone and well worth the drive! Especially with all the information Mark told us about websites. I hope to have an actually website up very soon.
Friday went to Madison! because Madison is also another one of my favorite cities as well as being the home to my friend Coral. We watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which was all together not a memoriable movie. But the snickers were priceless, as well as the night with helper monkey.
Saturday was working all day with the entire deck crew. We got so much done. I can't wait to go in tomorrow and paint some more! I think it is funny that this show is so big, and our openning show for a classical theatre and it really is not a classical period play. I can't wait to watch it during tech. Sarah Day is the star I hear.
Today is Sunday and my rest day, I could have gone to Bob fest, a day of celebrating Bob Dylan and I still might go to the birthday parties tonight but this has to be the first day when I have nothing that has to be done. I just want to sit and do nothing and so I do.
